Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk held in Guwahati on 11th March 2017 brought together many successful women and aspiring young women
Atreyee Borooah Thekedath, member of the Vital Voices Global leadership Network has been organizing the “Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk” in Guwahati for last several years. This is a part of a global movement to inspire a rising generation of young women through mentorship.
Held in association with the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship Guwahati, it is a celebration of International Women’s Day in communities around the world. The Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk convenes established women leaders and emerging women leaders to walk together in their community. As they walk, they discuss their personal and professional challenges and successes to establish a mentoring relationship.
This initiative has helped many women who wanted to learn from the mentors’ experience and perspective. It’s the ideal opportunity to demonstrate the power of women’s leadership and unite women in support of other women.
